President Dale Lang, AA1SZ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in the SAV meeting room. Dale welcomed 40 members and guests.
The exam on Oct 5 went very well. All 11 techs in the class passed and a general license was added. About 5 of the newly licensed hams were present at the meeting and some have joined. Congratulations to all. Thanks goes to Carolyn Miller for all the paper work she generates to obtain these licenses. Dale AA1SZ helped with the passing back and forth of tests and scores and congratulations. VE (volunteer examiners) were Tom K7VOA, Gene W0KAD, and Dee AD7NR, who got to sign their names to the process. Clark KF7CM and Norm W5UJ and Jane AD7NR also helped.

Secretary, Jane Lang AD7NR, reminded all about picnic on the 19th at Madera Canyon. Cliff Philip will again cook hot dogs and hamburgers, Norm W5UJ and Kathy Kibby will provide paper services, Jim KE7ATD and Inge will provide water. Everyone should bring a dish to feed 8. As of the meeting no one volunteered to save the picnic tables. (Later Jim KE7ATD and Inge graciously said they would).
Treasurer Bob Call, K7RWC, reported on the finances. He is now taking dues – still just $10 - for the coming year.
Driveout Coordinator, Gene Shouweiler ,W0KAD No drive outs planned at this moment.
