President Dale Lang, AA1SZ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in the SAV meeting room.
Dale welcomed the 38 members and guest.
Ilsa K6SAX and Jack KF7UGV, are returning members.
Eric Wick K9NP, is a new member, and Jack McGowan brought his neighbor, Mike Abeyta KG6CMI.
Dale called upon the officers for their reports:
Vice President Rudy Sweisfurth, N7COP, was away.
Secretary, Jane Lang AD7NR, listened while picnic details for next week were concluded.
Treasurer Bob Call, K7RWC, reported the finances.
He said we now have 121 members signed up, and hopes to grow to 140 by next year.

Don, K7DOD, Doehring's estate has made a generous contribution to the club. He was a delightful member and will be remembered, especially since Barbara comes to the activities. The intriguing Ken and Dorry letters were explained. Come to the picnic and see the letters that Barbara Doehring will bring.
Club Station Manager and Special Events, Tom Lang, K7VOA, reported on the Special Event for Fiesta Sahuarita bands were so busy with worldwide CQ event, that we only made 88 contacts, 280 visits to website and we stopped after 2 hours.
May 6 is the Discone antenna event starting around 9 am. Please gather at the site for operating and logging and donuts and all sorts of fun.
Driveout Coordinator, Gene Shouweiler, W0KAD no drive out at this time.
Education, Lloyd Miller, N7GV, nothing planned.
Website Manager, Jon Otto, AD7GS, reported that over 659 contacts were made to our website over the last 2 months from 27 countries. Videos and pictures are under Club events. Please send Jon any pictures you want to share of club activities.
Technical Director Ron Phillips, AA7RP, was away. Tom said all the equipment was in good shape.
Emergency Communications Coordinator Dee Gross, AD7NM, was away.

Field Day Bob Newkirk K3RN says if you are hampered by CC&R's then here is your opportunity to work on new ideas for antennas for Field Day Bob and Lou WB6TYP will help you with them.
Field Day is last Saturday in June, AD7NK suggested a small rental man lift to use with the antennas.
Lloyd commented that he had brought 2 rigs for sale at tonight's swap and had priced them at local use only and not for a higher resale at a swap meet elsewhere.
Program Director Cliff Philip, N2CDP, reported May's program will be Beetle, K7GSB and Bruce K3BAT, giving a history of ham radio.
Program for this evening was the Swap meet. All had fun trying to sell a few items and looking over all the freebies. Grateful to all who helped take the remaining items to be recycled.
