President Dale Lang, AA1SZ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in the SAV meeting room. Dale welcomed the 45 members and guests. Evelyne Tannehill, author of "Abandoned and Forgotten: An Orphan Girl's Tale of Survival During World War II" and a former speaker, accompanied Jack Schaefli who presented this evenings program. Other visitors were Chuck, WD0DEA and Ric, N0CN.
Doug Kenyon, an SAV officer accepted the check from Dale as appreciation of the club's gratitude to the SAV for the use of the SAV building and the club station. Doug had very nice comments about our Club and we are thankful to the SAV for their generosity.
Venture Out and Sunrise Amateur Radio Clubs will use the Discone Antennae at the Titan Museum on Thursday, tomorrow.
It was announced that Ric Paquette W7RAP, was elected Section Manager of ARRL. He was assistant section manager and a hard working, dedicated ham.
Dale called upon the officers for their reports:
Vice President Rudy Sweisfurth, N7COP, set up the presentation with the SAV officer.
Secretary, Jane Lang AD7NR, mentioned the member list with XYL names available which Linda Boeck started.
Treasurer Bob Call, K7RWC, reported the finances. He said we now have 119 members signed up, down from 137. Please let past members know they can sign up again. Please let him know if you get a new email, or address.
Club Station Manager and Special Events, Tom Lang, K7VOA, said the Ladies Valentine Day special Event was a success at the Discone Antenna, with 156 contacts, 566 look ups on the website and 36 states and a bunch of countries. Thanks to all the men for providing the food.
Saturday, March 25th is the Fiesta Sahuarita special Event from the club station. Would love operators since it will last from 2 to 8 pm.
Tom reported Jim and Linda Forsman are getting a new HF rig so listen for them.
Driveout Coordinator, Gene Shouweiler was away.
Education, Lloyd Miller, N7GV, said the testing for their recent tech class was good since we now have 9 new hams starting with KI7L... So listen for the new calls.
Website Manager, Jon Otto, AD7GS, was away.
Technical Director Ron Phillips, AA7RP, was away. Tom said all the equipment was in good shape.
Emergency Communications Coordinator Dee Gross, AD7NM, was away.

Program Director Cliff Philip, N2CDP, introduced Jack Schaefli, who talked about and presented videos of the Reno Air Show. It was very interesting for those of us who did not know about it. Those who had attended and participated in the support of the race, (about 11) enjoyed it as well.
